About the Opportunity
A growing organization is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support, maintain, and enhance critical IT infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring systems operate efficiently, securely, and reliably while identifying opportunities for improvement and modernization.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong technical expertise, experience managing Microsoft environments, and advanced PowerShell scripting capabilities. This individual will play a key role in maintaining system performance, supporting end users, and helping drive technology improvements across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, administer, and maintain Microsoft 365 environments and related systems.
- Monitor system health, performance, and security to ensure reliable daily operations.
- Design, organize, and optimize system architecture to ensure all components function effectively together.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and infrastructure issues in a timely manner.
- Evaluate existing systems and recommend upgrades, enhancements, or replacements when appropriate.
- Automate administrative tasks and streamline processes through PowerShell scripting.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, backups, and system access controls.
- Assist with implementation of new technologies, migrations, and infrastructure projects.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams and leadership to support business technology needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar infrastructure support role.
- Experience managing Microsoft 365 and Windows server environments.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, Systems Engineer, or related credentials preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical users.
Required Technical Skills
- Advanced PowerShell scripting experience required.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Knowledge of system monitoring, patching, backups, and security best practices.
- Understanding of networking, server infrastructure, and enterprise systems.
