VICE PRESIDENT OF MULTIFAMILY DEVELOPEMENT

Our Client is seeking an experienced Vice President of Multifamily Development to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in executing and delivering multifamily projects, overseeing the entire development process to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This position will manage the development process without requiring the sourcing of deals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Direct all phases of multifamily development projects, including planning, design, construction, and delivery, ensuring successful project execution from inception to completion.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of development professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Budget and Scheduling: Develop, manage, and oversee project budgets and schedules, ensuring alignment with financial and timeline objectives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies and standards.
  • Quality Control: Implement and uphold rigorous quality control measures throughout the development process to deliver superior results.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including architects, contractors, engineers, and government officials, to facilitate seamless project execution.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop proactive strategies to mitigate issues and ensure project success.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to the EVP of Operations and the Executive Committee on project status, financial performance, and key milestones.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Construction Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in real estate development with a focus on multifamily projects. Demonstrated success in managing medium and large-scale multifamily developments.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, excellent project management skills, and a keen eye for detail.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of construction processes, zoning regulations, and building codes.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
