Our Client, a leader in the construction industry with a focus on healthcare, is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Business Development to drive their growth strategy in the healthcare sector. This senior leader will be responsible for crafting strategic partnerships, building relationships with key stakeholders, and leading the business development team to expand the company’s presence across the nation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy aimed at expanding Our Client’s healthcare construction portfolio. Set strategic goals and initiatives that align with the company's long-term growth objectives.
  • Market Growth: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the healthcare construction market. Manage a robust pipeline of projects and partnerships to ensure continued market penetration and business expansion.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and positioning Our Client as the preferred partner for healthcare construction projects.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with senior leadership, marketing, and project teams to ensure alignment on business goals, project pursuits, and market strategies. Drive cross-functional initiatives that support business development objectives.
  • Proposal Management: Oversee the preparation, presentation, and negotiation of proposals and bids. Ensure that all proposals align with client expectations and showcase Our Client’s capabilities and value proposition.
  • Industry Involvement: Stay current on industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments impacting healthcare construction. Utilize this knowledge to inform business development strategies and identify new opportunities.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing business development team. Foster a collaborative, results-driven environment that encourages innovation, accountability, and professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development within the construction industry, with a strong focus on healthcare.
  • Proven track record of securing large-scale healthcare construction projects and building lasting client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with experience in building and leading high-performing teams.
