We are partnering with a leading general contractor in the Des Moines area to help them add an experienced and driven Superintendent with a strong background in Commercial Construction to their team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead high-profile, local projects with a focus on quality, safety, and efficient delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and construction workers to maintain project schedules
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, fostering a safe work environment
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to address any challenges or changes in project scope
- Conduct site inspections and quality control assessments to ensure all work meets company and client standards
- Monitor and report progress to key stakeholders, resolving any on-site issues quickly and effectively
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of Commercial Construction experience with proven leadership in project supervision
- Strong knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction best practices
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams
- A proactive problem solver who can adapt to changing conditions and project demands
