Our client is currently seeking a Superintendent for projects based in LA. The Superintendent will oversee all field operations, including subcontractor coordination, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and managing project budgets. This role requires active participation in preconstruction phases and ensuring project completion within set timelines, budgets, and company standards. Additionally, the Superintendent will provide guidance to assistant superintendents and other field personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Management: Assist in developing project budgets and oversee financial aspects of the project.
- Preconstruction Services: Actively participate in preconstruction phases, contributing to project planning and strategy.
- Project Scheduling: Utilize scheduling software (preferably P6) to manage project timelines effectively.
- Site Logistics Planning: Develop and maintain site logistics plans to ensure smooth project operations.
- Project Administration: Oversee day-to-day project activities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Customer Relations: Foster positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Culture and Leadership: Promote a positive work culture, provide leadership, and facilitate employee development.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum ten years of commercial construction field experience.
- At least five years of direct supervisory experience in staff and subcontractor management.
- Proficiency in PC usage and common software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Ability to read plans and specifications.
- Experience with scheduling software (preferably P6) and site logistics planning.
