Our client, a leading General Contractor, is seeking a dedicated Field Superintendent to oversee industrial construction projects. As a Field Superintendent, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of projects in the Food, Beverage, Consumer Packaged Goods, and Life Science sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary on-site Construction Superintendent for industrial construction projects, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and schedule requirements.
- Supervise subcontractors, inspect work progress, and enforce compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Provide leadership throughout all project phases, from pre-construction planning to post-construction closeout.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Manage day-to-day field activities to meet safety, schedule, and quality objectives.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, schedule updates, and correspondence.
- Conduct punch list inspections, obtain customer sign-off, and complete as-built drawings.
- Foster positive relationships with local communities, project inspectors, and regulatory authorities.
- Review and adhere to construction schedules, making necessary adjustments to meet milestones.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality guidelines and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience as a construction site superintendent on industrial projects.
- Recent experience with industrial facilities, including Cold Storage Distribution Centers, Food & Beverage Processing, and Life Science Manufacturing Facilities.
- Proven track record of successfully completing industrial projects ranging from $500K to $20M.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam, and CAD software.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Willingness to travel for extended periods to construction sites and project-related activities.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field preferred.
