SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONAL SERVICES

Our Client, a leading organization in the construction and engineering sector, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Vice President of Operational Services to join their executive leadership team. This role will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, and overseeing core business processes across key operational areas, including Project Controls, Quality, Fleet Management, and Estimating. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in engineering or construction management, a strong grasp of building projects, and a proven background in leadership, including fieldwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Lead and manage the development of consistent enterprise business processes across core functions such as Project Controls, Quality Control, Fleet Management, and Estimating. Ensure adherence to industry best practices and drive operational excellence.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner with executive leadership, including the CFO and Market Presidents, to implement strategic plans, engage in periodic strategic realignments, and contribute to the development of initiatives aimed at enhancing business growth and profitability.
  • Staffing and Resource Management: Actively participate in the development and implementation of staffing strategies to ensure adequate resources and talent alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all operational areas, implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall performance.
  • Culture Building: Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning within the team. Promote professional development, knowledge sharing, and uphold core values by prioritizing integrity, safety, quality, and production.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business development efforts, providing technical expertise and strategic guidance on project feasibility and execution.

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the engineering or construction industry, with a proven track record of success in leadership roles.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for business requirements.
