The HGI team has partnered with a growing company southwest of Chicago to bring on a Sales Engineer. This company is under fresh ownership and is dedicated to creating a great workplace for its employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with existing and potential clients to understand their equipment needs for specific applications
- Provide specialized expertise and support to the sales team in effectively communicating products, services, and client requirements
- Resolve customer problems related to installed equipment and provide ongoing support
- Conduct testing of various products and applications in our test lab to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Collaborate with customers to organize project details and support sales initiatives
- Attend industry trade shows and customer sites (expected 10-30% travel)
- Learn about our product line and sales skills through shadowing senior sales personnel and participating in training sessions
- Assist in the research and development of new products
- Draft presentations, documentation, and materials explaining products and services to customers
- Generate detailed budgetary and formal equipment quotes, as well as 2D and 3D CAD drawings of proposed equipment
- Spend a portion of time in production and engineering during the initial phase to gain in-depth technical product knowledge
