Our client, a leading general contractor in the St. Louis area, is seeking an experienced Construction Project Executive to join their dynamic team. The Project Executive will play a key role in business development, project management, and team leadership to drive the success of our client's projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients, the design community, and industry organizations to identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Build and lead high-performance teams by providing supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring to project staff.
- Collaborate with Sales and Marketing departments to support business development efforts and secure new projects.
- Ensure adherence to ethics and compliance requirements across all projects.
- Provide leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, fee decisions, and pricing strategies.
- Oversee multiple projects simultaneously from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring quality, schedule adherence, and budget management.
- Develop and implement master project schedules to guide project execution.
- Manage project budgets and financial aspects to optimize profitability.
- Drive the utilization of innovative technologies and initiatives to enhance project efficiency and outcomes.
- Lead and enforce Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) programs.
- Promote and ensure adherence to safety protocols on all projects.
- Engage with the community and leverage resources to support business unit goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and a minimum of eighteen years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Thorough understanding of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and engineering principles.
- Proven track record in identifying and pursuing business opportunities.
- Strong market knowledge and effective sales/closing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced presentation skills and ability to interpret complex project documents and schedules.
- Experience implementing innovative technologies such as Building Information Models (BIM) and Lean practices.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and interpersonal skills.
