Our Client, a reputable General Contractor based in Denver, is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Executive to join their dynamic team. Renowned for its commitment to excellence and innovation, the Client specializes in delivering large-scale construction projects across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the successful execution of assigned projects by providing strategic leadership and management oversight throughout all construction phases.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
- Lead and coordinate project teams comprising architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to drive collaborative project delivery.
- Effectively communicate project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and regulatory authorities.
- Implement proactive measures to monitor and control construction activities, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Facilitate the creation of business unit strategic growth plans and budgets, identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
- Manage the financial aspects of contracts to safeguard company interests and foster positive client relationships.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to preconstruction teams in analyzing customer value, opportunities, and risks.
- Oversee project commissioning, handover activities, and closeout procedures to ensure seamless project completion.
- Cultivate and maintain a robust network of industry contacts to explore and expand business opportunities.
- Undertake other duties and projects as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Regular business travel may be required as part of the role.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in the construction industry is required, with a proven track record of serving as a Senior Manager, Project Executive, or Director on projects ranging from $50M to $200M.
- Skills: The ideal candidate will possess exceptional judgment, communication, and leadership skills, coupled with strong business acumen and decision-making abilities. Demonstrated proficiency in conflict resolution, client networking, and self-motivation is essential.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Technology: Proficiency in standard computer software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is essential. Additionally, candidates should have hands-on experience with project management and scheduling software (e.g., JDE, Procore, Bluebeam) to effectively manage project workflows and documentation.
