Our client, a prominent leader in automated machine manufacturing, is currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Engineer for their facility located in the Greater Cleveland area. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a dynamic team and contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of mechanical and pneumatic systems for automated machines.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, overseeing project plans, budgets, expenditures, and timelines.
- Utilize Solidworks software to design and develop mechanical and pneumatic systems and fixtures for automated machines, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and optimizing return on investment.
- Collaborate directly with customers to define project specifications and address any concerns or requirements.
- Establish and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure quality outsourcing of parts manufacturing, including obtaining quotes as needed.
- Provide comprehensive instructions for assembly, testing, operation, and troubleshooting of machines.
- Conduct on-site visits to existing or potential customer facilities for troubleshooting and machine installation.
- Stay updated on engineering developments and trends, analyzing their potential applications for improvement within projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years of mechanical engineering experience in a custom machine manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in 3D Solidworks software
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
