Details:

The Estimator will play a vital role in our client's projects, responsible for preparing comprehensive estimates under the guidance of their supervisor. This role involves quantity surveying, pricing, bid solicitation, and generating cost analysis reports. The Estimator will collaborate closely with project teams to ensure accurate project costing and timely completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quantity surveying, pricing, and bid solicitation activities
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and system comparisons
  • Identify and assess project risks
  • Coordinate subcontractor and vendor solicitation as directed
  • Assist in developing Supply Chain procurement plans
  • Generate schematic estimates based on historical data and project requirements
  • Research and compile cost analysis reports
  • Review owner contracts and project conditions with risk management group
  • Analyze various systems and their cost impacts
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Some business travel may be required

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma required; industry-related college degree preferred
  • Experience: 1-6 years of construction estimating experience required
  • Skills: Strong schematic estimating skills, ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, excellent organizational and time management skills, leadership abilities, proficiency in estimating software such as On Screen Takeoff, WinEst, Bluebeam, and Revit, as well as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required; training provided on company standards
