Our client, a manufacturing company in Cleveland, OH, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, generating, and maintaining electrical drawings and systems for products and systems. The Electrical Engineer will coordinate multiple projects to completion, collaborate with various departments, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate multiple projects to completion, collaborating across departments.
- Prepare Control Systems drawings, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Utilize drafting techniques to create electrical detail drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Develop PLC/HMI programs for custom conveyor systems.
- Provide technical support to customers and vendors.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical problems and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Support application engineering by generating proposal drawings.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and identify cost-saving measures.
- Perform start-up and commissioning services, including PLC/HMI program modifications.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience designing electrical controls for industrial machinery using motor starters, relays, limit switches, push buttons, etc.
- Proficiency in creating and editing electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, preferably using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, customers, and vendors.
