As a Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of construction projects in the Kane County, Illinois area. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team of industry experts and contribute to the successful delivery of projects from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project management to develop comprehensive project budgets and proposals.
- Manage project development, ensuring adherence to program objectives and project timelines.
- Assist in the preparation of construction budgets, schedules, scope development, and design and construction contracts.
- Coordinate the review and approval process for consultant invoices, contractor pay applications, and change orders.
- Attend and contribute to weekly job progress meetings, issuing meeting minutes during the design phase.
- Resolve complex construction-related issues, disputes, and disagreements.
- Monitor project status and variances relative to scheduling and cost control reporting.
- Maintain excellent communication with clients, serving as the primary onsite representative.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, multitasking effectively to meet project demands.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Construction Manager or Project Manager in an Engineering, Environmental, or Construction organization.
- Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building, and client relationship building.
- Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline, Construction Management, or Architecture preferred.
- Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Professional Engineer (PE), or Architect license/certification preferred.
