HGI has partnered with a manufacturing company just east of Des Moines, IA to find a CNC Machinist to join their team. This company is one of the leading manufacturers of custom-cutting tools in the U.S. with decades of expertise, a proficient workforce, and state-of-the-art manufacturing technology. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work with cutting-edge CNC machining equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC Vertical Machining Centers, Lathes, or Grinders.
- Produce machined parts under the provided print details.
- Conduct inspections to ensure machined parts meet specified tolerances.
- Utilize multiple machines when feasible to optimize productivity.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of metalworking concepts and processes.
- Collaborate with the management team, engineering department, and office staff to ensure accurate completion of parts.
- Adhere to and promote safe working practices.
- Maintain quality standards throughout the machining process.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years of experience in CNC machine operation.
- Experience in CNC programming is highly desired.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
