Responsibilities:
- Analyze and assess all bid opportunities to ensure feasibility, reviewing bid calendar and scheduling bid reviews accordingly.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to fully understand project scopes.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and addendums accurately.
- Utilize historical data on production rates, material pricing, and equipment use to inform bid estimates.
- Compile and organize information to prepare accurate, detailed, and timely bids.
- Conduct project takeoffs using Bluebeam software.
- Evaluate project profitability and present bids to customers.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including Project Managers, Field Operations, and Customers, to support project handoff.
- Provide exceptional client service, fostering positive relationships to encourage growth and repeat business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Estimator, Project Manager, or Project Engineer in civil construction.
- Proficiency in Excel, Bluebeam, MS Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
