Our Client, a leading manufacturer and one of the largest in Iowa, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Chief Growth Officer to join their executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role offers the unique opportunity to transition into the CEO position within a few years. The CGO will play a critical role in shaping the company’s growth strategies and initiatives, driving both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions to ensure profitable growth and client stability. This position is based in Des Moines, with opportunities for professional flexibility.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning and Forecasting: Actively engage in strategic planning to align business strategies with organizational growth objectives and enhance client stability.
  • Leadership Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO and business unit leaders to design an effective sales organization, participate in team selection, and oversee relationships with sales and marketing teams across all entities.
  • Sales and Marketing Development: Lead the development and implementation of robust sales and marketing practices and tools across all business units.
  • Market Expansion: Explore and identify new market opportunities, services, and delivery methods in coordination with business unit leaders.
  • Cross-Selling and Training: Facilitate cross-selling opportunities and sponsor training and development initiatives for the sales organization.
  • Client Engagement: Engage directly with key clients, including proposal reviews and strategic meetings, and represent the company at industry conferences.
  • Travel: Travel as needed to client sites and other local offices to support growth initiatives.
  • Brand and Culture Promotion: Exemplify and promote Our Client’s brand and foster a unified company culture.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Over 15 years of experience in strategic growth leadership within a sizable organization or business unit, including managing dynamic sales teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Business Administration (MBA).
  • Experience in Manufacturing sectors.
  • Proven track record in marketing, mergers, and acquisitions.
