ASSISTANT VICE PRESIDENT: CORPORATE CONTROLLER

Our client is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Corporate Controller to lead their financial operations. This position plays a critical role in aligning corporate finance strategies with the organization's broader mission and vision. The AVP, Corporate Controller, will provide leadership across financial, operational, and cultural domains, driving continuous improvement, optimizing financial systems, and fostering professional growth within the finance team. The role also involves significant collaboration with executive management and cross-functional teams to ensure the organization's financial health and strategic success.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • 10+ years of healthcare finance and accounting experience, including hospital settings.
  • 7–10 years of progressive management experience across multiple sites/entities.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, with public accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Strong communication, leadership presence, and the ability to navigate complex situations effectively.

Preferred:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA).
  • Experience with Accountable Care Organizations (ACO).
  • Knowledge of both taxable and non-taxable entity financial structures.
