Our client, a prominent General Contractor based in Atlanta, is seeking a dynamic Assistant Project Manager to join their team. With a focus on quality, safety, and efficiency, they are dedicated to delivering exceptional construction projects to their clients.
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Project Manager in various administrative and technical aspects of construction projects. From contract administration to scheduling and procurement, you will ensure projects are completed to the highest standards while meeting deadlines and budgetary requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with trades to coordinate drawings and specifications.
- Prepare RFIs (Request for Information) and submittals to facilitate smooth project progression.
- Maintain a procurement log to efficiently manage and schedule long lead items.
- Coordinate meetings with trades, clients, governing agencies, and inspectors to ensure project alignment.
- Effectively manage trade and owner change orders.
- Compile as-built documents for project records.
- Schedule work activities as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Monitor and manage costs for varying scopes of work.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of previous construction office or field commercial experience in a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager role.
- 1 year or more of direct supervisory experience.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Constructware, P6, Timberline).
- Experience in cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews, and labor reports.
- Familiarity with JD Edwards or similar construction applications.
