Our client, a construction company based in Los Angeles, CA, is currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager. The Assistant Project Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Project Manager with administrative and technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring their successful completion in adherence to quality, safety, and timeline standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis: Assist in project financial analysis, including cost projections, budget reviews, and labor reports.
- Preconstruction Coordination: Collaborate on preconstruction activities to ensure smooth project initiation.
- Project Scheduling: Aid in project scheduling, including the development and maintenance of project timelines.
- Project Administration, Operations, and Close-out: Support project administration tasks such as contract management, change orders, submittals, and procurement. Ensure proper project close-out procedures.
- Customer and Community Relations: Promote positive relations with customers and the community, striving to meet and exceed their expectations.
- Culture, Leadership, and Employee Development: Foster a positive work culture, provide leadership support, and contribute to employee development initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- At least 5 years of experience in construction, preferably in roles such as Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, or Assistant Project Manager.
- Minimum 1 year of direct supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Constructware, P6, Timberline).
- Experience with cost projection, financial analysis, and construction applications like JD Edwards.
