Our client, a global leader in environmentally focused infrastructure and manufacturing is seeking an Applications Engineer to join their greater Rockford, IL team. The Applications Engineer will play a crucial role in sizing, designing, costing, and evaluating material processing systems for clients across various industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage sales opportunities from initial inquiry to proposal submission, internal coordination, and post-sale follow-up.
- Develop process flow diagrams and equipment layouts for aggregate processing plants, along with standard and non-standard equipment quotations.
- Provide expert advice to internal and external stakeholders on product selection, application, and operation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, marketing, and service departments to deliver tailored solutions.
- Attend trade shows and product demonstrations as necessary.
- Lead or participate in meetings with internal teams, dealers, and customers to review applications and proposals.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Mining, Geological, or Industrial Engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Inventor or similar 3D design software.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage stressful situations and resolve problems effectively.
