The HGI Manufacturing team has partnered with a prominent manufacturing company in Des Moines, Iowa to find a Production Supervisor to join their team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all departmental operations while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, quantity, and housekeeping standards. The Production Supervisor will play a pivotal role in maintaining smooth operations and fostering a safe and efficient working environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Supervise all personnel and operations within the department.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all processes and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with environmental discharge regulations where applicable.
- Train, evaluate, and review department employees.
- Coordinate with schedulers and other supervisors to organize work schedules effectively.
- Enforce established policies, rules, and procedures to promote safety and efficiency.
- Verify the correct identification, quantities, and warehousing of products.
- Ensure the health and safety of employees by eliminating workplace hazards and implementing safe operating procedures.
- Maintain responsibility for all processes, equipment, employees, safety, and housekeeping standards on the shift.
- Complete all required reports accurately and comprehensively.
- Troubleshoot problems and provide suggestions to prevent recurrence.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of departmental equipment and processes.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Efficient problem-solving abilities.
