An SBIA Insurance Wholesaler (IW) is responsible for providing exceptional service to Financial Advisor’s (FA). The IW is responsible for proactively increasing insurance sales with their assigned FA’s in their book of business. Expected to be courteous, responsive, and professional in helping FAs with sales concepts, product specifications, underwriting, and general SBIA processes related to life insurance sales. Create Sales Illustrations and Carrier Comparison Spreadsheets based on the Financial Advisor’s (FA) request. Provide Advanced Case Design support for high-net-worth clients as required. Collaborate with internal partners during the Informal Shopping process by providing FA appropriate selection recommendation. Build and maintain long and productive relationships with client, FA, and business partners

Position Overview



Responsibilities
  • Heavy emphasis on pro-active marketing via outbound calls and emails to uncover life insurance sales opportunities with their assigned FAs.
  • Follow assigned marketing campaigns and follow through with live contact with their assigned FAs.
  • Facilitate sales concept training with assigned FAs via webinars.
  • Generate accurate illustrations and carrier comparison spreadsheets that assist in the sales and solicitation of insurance products by FA to prospects and clients. Offer counter recommendations when needed.
  • Respond to client and FA needs within the standard SLA. Determine the productive value of a conversation about managing time effectively.
  • Assist FA with high-net-worth client’s case design by recommending strategies that can help grow and protect their client’s assets and meet their wealth transfer and legacy goals.
  • Keep up to date with recent market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to less experienced team members.
  • Inform management immediately of all situations requiring action and resolutions.
  • Proactively deliver pertinent information and services.
  • Monitor and manage workflow to ensure that a consistently high-quality service is being delivered by the organization. Identify needs and areas for improvement to the service relationship.
  • Any and all other related duties as assigned or required

 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) or more years of Life Insurance Experience or equivalent combination.
  • Two (2) years experience in supporting the sales efforts of Financial Advisors of a full-service broker-dealer
  • Current Life, Accident & Health License, FINRA Series 6 and 63 or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire
  • IT and computer systems skills including the ability quickly learn new programs
  • Analytical skills including data compilation and calculation
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Effective time management ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
